Here at Urban Gent we have tried to bring a fresh new salon into the Men’s hairdressing world of Manchester.
There are salons opening everyday, everywhere claiming to be the new next best thing, so opening up a salon is a very daunting thing as so many people are doing it with you.

Throughout our years of training and working in salon’s we have tried to take every small detail, to every big detail to create the best salon environment . The most important thing in any salon is the way it and it’s staff look. Presentation is key!
So when we decided to open a Men’s salon we didn’t want it to look like any other ‘Barber’ shop we had the idea of making it more of a salon for men…. no red and white striped poles!! This is we’re we decided to bring the white and black colour interior into it. They are fresh clean colours that if done well can make a salon into a up-market sleek stylish abode rather than a backstreet standard barbers.
We tried to be different in the small details such as introducing iPads into the waiting area for personal client use, whilst using the technology clients can also choose from a selection of complimentary drinks such as fresh coffee, tea, beer and a selection of wine. This has been a big talking point at Urban Gent and brought many clients back along with the great haircuts!
Urban gent also thrives on the service we give. Once a client is on the cutting chair, rather than spending 10 minutes on the haircut and only caring about the money we get at the end we really take time to understand what the client wants, to be able to create the best look for their needs.
Clients also receive a relaxing hair wash at our comfortable backwashes with use of our amazing label.m products.
Once the hair has been washed we spend a good twenty minutes creating the perfect cut, then styling the hair using our label.m products to help create the finished look.

Overall at Urban gent we have tried to create the perfect service and experience for each individual that walks through our door!
